Reminds me of a typeface I designed back in the late sixties when I was a student living in Liverpool.
It was called Girder and was made from line drawings of girders shaped and formed into a complete alphabet.
Sadly, I’ve mislaid it over the years but I feel encouraged to try to recreate it.
Should be a lot easier to do now, in the digital age.
